Mobile Climbing Wall Hire Uses
Below is a selection of our more common hire arrangements but we have also attended prison open days, new car launches and we have even been to a nuclear power station!
School and Youth Group Use – Altitude’s climbing wall is a great tool to use with groups of children on both a one off basis and also over a longer timescale through multiple bookings. The sessions will be set up according to the needs of the participants and will ensure they not only have a great time but get a real sense of achievement as well. The wall has been used by many schools in lessons as part of outdoor education programmes, as a reward and also on holiday playschemes.
Corporate Team Building – Altitude’s wall can be used in various guises on corporate days, both competitively and also just for fun. Not only is the wall an eye catching centrepiece to any activity day but it can also be run with a focus on team building. We have many different exercises and session plans for team building and can always integrate the clients specific requirements into the plans in order to provide the best possible service that we can. The wall will also provide a real sense of achievement amongst those who climb it as most will have never turned their hand to climbing before. Fun Days – Altitude’s eye catching wall has been used on many fun days over the years and is always a winner with the client. We have worked on fun days ranging in size from 100 people up to 3000 people and can tailor our service to suit your needs.
Shows and Fetes – Altitude’s wall stands head and shoulders above other exhibits at shows and fetes providing a real talking point. The wall has several areas that are suitable for company or event branding, most notably the banners on either side, the barriers, the flags and staff uniform. The wall can be booked to attend these sort of events in a variety of ways so please do contact us to talk about your requirements. The basic details are as follows:
- Altitude’s wall can be hired and run as a free attraction to promote a company or an event.
- Altitude’s wall can be hired by a company or event and then people are charged to climb with all money raised going to that company or event.
- If you hire pitches at your event, then Altitude could hire a pitch and charge people to climb. We usually only offer this service for events of over 8000 people per day during the peak season of May - September.

- If you hire pitches at your charity event, then Altitude may be interested in hiring a pitch from you and we will charge people to climb. We usually only offer this service for events of over 8000 people per day during the peak season of May - September.
- And last but certainly not least - The Climbathon - An opportunity to use your imagination and come up with a challenge, which is something that Daycamps (www.daycamps.org.uk) took advantage of in July 05 to raise over £2000 towards assisted places on their play schemes. The goal of their Climbathon was to have a team of 6 people on each of the 4 faces of the wall. The team members in each team then took it in turns to climb the wall until each team had climbed the 1344m (or 196 ascents) to the summit of Ben Nevis, Britains highest mountain. Each member of the teams was dressed in fancy dress and each raised over £100 in order to take part in the event. This challenge provides a fun way of earning considerable amounts of money and often also makes it into the media. These challenges could be tailored to smaller mountains in the UK or even higher mountains such as Kilimanjaro, K2 or even Everest if you’re brave enough and is suitable for children and adults alike. Birthday Parties – Fancy a break from Bouncy Castles or having to take the kids out for birthdays? Well, now there is an alternative, why not hire an Altitude mobile climbing wall, which comes delivered right to your driveway? With an Altitude climbing wall, birthday parties are great fun for everyone that gets invited! Whether the wall is hired for a childrens party or for someone celebrating their 40th birthday, one thing is for sure – everyone is going to have a great time! The exact format for a party will vary incredibly depending on the group size and age so contact us to see what we can offer you.
